Brake pads, front axle

We ring before we spend
If the job changes by more than €30 from the quote, the car stops and the phone rings. You decide, not us.

You get the old parts back
In a box on the passenger seat, unless you tell us not to bother. Worn pads look worn. You shouldn't have to take our word for it.

Photos of anything we flag
Sent to your phone with the measurement beside it. If we say the discs are done, you'll see why.
NCT
Fail the test once,
and it costs you twice
A re-test is another appointment, another day off, and whatever the repair was anyway. We run the same checks the test centre does, first — for €45.
- Lights, alignment and beam pattern set on the gauge
- Brake performance and imbalance on the rollers
- Suspension, steering play and every rubber boot
- Tyre tread across all three bands, both edges included
- Emissions read and compared against your engine's limit
- Underbody corrosion, exhaust, and the numberplate itself
First test is at four years, then every two years until the car turns ten. After that it's annual. Put your reg in at the top and we'll tell you where you are.
